Founded in 1919 by the first President of the Czechoslovak Republic, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, Masaryk University is the second-oldest university in the Czech Republic, located in Brno. Its establishment aimed to create a prestigious educational institution in Central Europe, contributing to the training of qualified professionals in various fields. During the first half of the century, Masaryk University experienced rapid growth, securing a strong position in science and education. Although it was temporarily closed during World War II, the university later resumed operations and expanded its programs in fields like social sciences, law, and natural sciences.
